Nearly everyone has had experiences with general pediatricians, but most parents are less familiar with pediatric ear, nose, and throat specialists, or ENTs. A pediatric ENT sees many types of patients for a variety of reasons. Some of the more common reasons to see them include frequentear infectionsor a need forear tubes. You may also see them if you have concerns about tonsils, particularly if a child has recurring tonsillitis. This can also include a child who has enlarged tonsils, trouble snoring, or hassleep apnea的担忧。

Other issues that a pediatric ENT may see children for include tongue tie, speech development, or hearing impairment. Even in the trauma department dealing with acute injuries like facial trauma, nasal fractures, or dog bites. They also see patients with neck masses and patients experiencing difficulty breathing or feeding.

Because of the wide variety of reasons that a child may need to see a pediatric ENT, they also work in conjunction with other specialists. These can includepediatric pulmonologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, & GI doctors.
